The Undefeated Powerhouse Virginia Lions Takes on the LCFL National Champions Philadelphia Panthers

Bealeton, VA, August 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 7:00pm, the undefeated Virginia Lions will take on the LCFL national champions Philadelphia Panthers, at Liberty High School, 6300 Independence Avenue, Bealeton, Virginia 22712. This will be the first time that both undefeated powerhouse football teams meet together on the football field. This game will be the battle between enormous speed and athletic power. This will be a sold out game. Tickets only $10.00. There will be special guest appearances during half time.

The Virginia Lions is a Professional Minor League Football Team founded in 2008 by Steven Grimes. Steven Grimes has played Professional Minor League Football for two years, and has coached for the last 12 years. He is currently the Director of the Football Division and a personal trainer for the company MASE Training located in Washington DC.

The mission of the Virginia Lions Football Team and the LCFL is to develop Strength, Honor, and Integrity throughout the league. The Virginia Lions competes in the Labelle Community Football League, which currently has 27 teams across the nation. Mr. Damascene Paul founded the Labelle Community Football League in 2003. Mr. Damascene Paul is also the manager for well known R &B singer and entertainer Ms. Patti Labelle who supports the LCFL.

Some of the well-known Professional NFL athletes and local supporters of the Virginia Lions includes former NFL football player Eddie Mason, an eight year NFL veteran and linebacker for the Jets, Jaguars, and the Redskins; Khary Campbell, eight year NFL veteran linebacker for the Jets and Redskins; Ladell Betts, seven year NFL veteran who currently plays Running Back for the Redskins; Gilles Colon, former wide receiver in the CFL, and winner of the Grey Cup Championship with the B.C. Lions; Antwaan Randle El, 7 year NFL veteran who currently plays wide receiver for the Redskins; former NFL football player Delbert Cowsette, 6 year NFL Veteran, played Defensive Tackle for the Redskins, the Giants, Buccaneers and the Bears.

The Labelle Community Football League is one of the most competitive Professional Minor League Football Organizations in America. The LCFL provides skilled football players a forum to display and refine their skills as they reach the professional levels of sports. The LCFL has some of the best teams and talent on the Western, Southern and Eastern Coast.
