Designer Catalin Botezatu Returns to New York's Couture Fashion Week with Dazzling "Hot Rainbow" Collection
Award-wining Romanian designer Catalin Botezatu will make his third appearance at Couture Fashion Week presenting his latest collection of avant-garde designs entitled "Hot Rainbow." The fashion show will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009 at the world-famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel on New York's legendary Park Avenue.

Mr. Botezatu launched his career in 1992 and established his own fashion house in 1996. In addition to his exquisite couture designs, Catalin Botezatu is also famous for his women's lingerie and men's underwear creations. He has designed over 30 men's underwear fashion shows, and in 2005 he opened the FTV Model Awards with his lingerie collection - the first fashion show to be held on the stage of the famous Moulin Rouge in Paris. In 2007 Mr. Botezatu became the first international designer to create a brand collection inspired by a car: the "Maserati Collection", and the same year Mr. Botezatu became one of the first European designers to hold a fashion show on an airplane in flight. In early 2009, Mr. Botezatu presented his first pret-a-porter collection for the important German brand Quelle, previously designed by fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld.
