New National Music Company Launches in Norwich
Jigsaw House is a brand new independent music company based in Norwich and operating throughout the UK, with the sole aim of getting good music noticed.

“Norwich’s music scene has really thrived in recent years with the emergence of talented artists and promoters, but we felt there was a gap in the market for a multi-purpose, artist-oriented music company,” Lauren explains, “We came up with the concept of Jigsaw House because we felt our extensive industry experience would create an environment where artists can really thrive with all the necessary information and expertise at their fingertips.”
Lauren has a background in journalism, promotion and public relations, specifically connected with music. She currently writes for music blog The Blue Walrus and regularly contributes to music publications Outline and Noize Makes Enemies. In the past, she has been involved in national music promotion campaigns and worked full-time in the public relations department of a top fashion and modelling agency.
“The key problem in today’s music industry is that players either have passion for the music or widespread knowledge of marketing techniques – they rarely possess both business aptitude and creative dedication to the artist. Jigsaw House is all about combining these two key elements to produce opportunities and relationships that compliment and work to the benefit of both the musician and the company,” Jess says, “We believe in our artists, and we love their music. But at the same time, we know how to make money – and we know how to do it without jeopardising an artist’s creative voice.”
Jess’s areas of expertise are marketing and social media. Prior to starting Jigsaw House, she trained as a professional photographer and she has worked full-time in Marketing Manager positions, both within the music industry and outside of it. She has previously worked with a range of bands, including The Darkness, Nemo and Do Me Bad Things. She has also worked for a variety of record labels in various positions, including setting up the popular music site Musicfinity.
