Hill Country Outdoors, Austin’s most active outdoor, sport and social club, announces a new series of monthly hikes that are free and open to the public. The monthly “Hikes You’ll Like” series features a different hike each month in and around Austin giving people the opportunity to explore the natural beauty that Central Texas has to offer.
“We’re so lucky to live in Austin and to be surrounded by so many great parks, preserves and protected areas,” said Bill Talbot, owner of Hill Country Outdoors. “Our monthly series of hikes is an opportunity for Austinites to experience these natural wonders with a group of folks who really enjoy exploring the outdoors.”
To register for an upcoming “Hikes You’ll Like” outing, go to the Hill Country Outdoors (HCO) homepage at www.hillcountryoutdoors.com and look under Events to Watch or find the hike on the HCO Calendar. The next “Hike You’ll Like” is Sunday, September 10th. October’s hike is scheduled for Sunday, October 15th. Space is limited.
“Not only is this a great opportunity to explore Austin with a fun, friendly group of outdoor enthusiasts,” said Talbot, “It’s also a chance for the public to participate in one of the many events that HCO offers without any commitment.”
