Jackal Software Hops on the Economic Stimulus Bandwagon with Free Issue Tracking Software

To celebrate the version 7.0 release of BugAware, Jackal Software provides their popular issue tracking software for free to educational institutions and not-for-profit organizations. Also, a 5 user 'Software-as-a-Service' hosted account is now available free for commercial organisations.

Melbourne, Australia, August 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- In what may be a new trend in these troubled economic times, Jackal Software has released a free version of its popular issue tracking software, BugAware. Commercial organisations can use a hosted SAAS version of the application with up to 5 user accounts with no limitations or restrictions on functionality. Universities and other educational and not-for-profit organizations are entitled to a free version of the software to be deployed locally with no limits on user accounts.

BugAware has been available as a hosted web application since 2001 and attracts clients ranging from large banking institutions to small development houses. Clients typically use the software for managing their internal issues, IT support help desk, task driven team management and tracking bugs in software development.
