Comedy Night features juggler-comedian Jack Kalvan, standup comic Jan McIinnis, a silent auction, and raffle for a Las Vegas entertainment package. Proceeds benefit the rescued cats and dogs at the Pet Adoption Center who are awaiting forever homes.
Riverside, CA, August 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Riverside Humane Society Pet Adoption Center (RHSPAC) presents its Annual Comedy Night fundraiser on September 25 at the Riverside Convention Center in Historic Downtown Riverside, CA. Now in its 12th year, the event features internationally known comedic juggler Jack Kalvan and standup comic/TV comedy writer Jan McInnis. Proceeds from the event will go toward the care of the cats and dogs awaiting adoption at RHSPAC.
The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. when dogs available for adoption at the Pet Adoption Center greet arriving guests at the entrance to the convention center at 3443 Orange St. During a no-host cocktail reception preceding the show, guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres as they peruse and bid on an eclectic assortment of silent auction items donated by area businesses and artisans.
Kalvan is an amazing juggler who uses a truly eclectic assortment of items large and small, all while delivering non-stop comedic lines and surprises. He often engages audience members in his routines. Kalvan has appeared around the world in clubs and theaters, on cruise ships, and at conventions, universities, and corporate events. He also has been seen in television shows, commercials and movies.
McInnis has entertained audiences in a multitude of venues and events from coast to coast. She draws from her years as a corporate marketing executive to poke fun at day-to-day procedures, policies and politics in the office environment. Her insightful, original humor will strike a nerve and funny bone in everyone in the audience.
A popular feature associated with Comedy Night is the raffle. Tickets for the raffle are on sale now and attendance at Comedy Night is not required to win. This year’s prize is the Las Vegas Phenomenal Phantom Show Package: a three-day, two-night (November 20 and 21) stay for two in a luxury suite at The Venetian. The package includes orchestra seats at Phantom of the Opera, admission to LAVO nightclub, dinner at Lawry’s The Prime Rib. And to drive to Las Vegas in style, the winner will have the use of a 2010 Jaguar courtesy of Alvarez Jaguar, Lincoln Mercury of Riverside. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20.
