Explore the Leading Spas of Canada with New Online Directory
To help reduce the environmental footprint, Leading Spas of Canada has made their popular directory of Canadian spa experiences available online at http://www.leadingspasofcanada.com/web/directory.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, August 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- With close to 3,000 spas across the country, the Canadian spa experience is as interesting and appealing as the beautiful and varied landscape that stretches coast to coast from British Columbia to Newfoundland.
As Canada’s national spa organization, Leading Spas of Canada has produced a beautiful, full-colour printed directory boasting colourful photographs, detailed descriptions of spa treatments and experiences, alongside listings of their proud spa members.
The printed directory has been a huge success, with spa-goers requesting 125,000 copies through various channels including the Leading Spas of Canada website, member spas, Air Canada lounges and through distribution with EnRoute, Air Canada’s inflight magazine during the month of March.
With the increasing desire to improve sustainability and reduce one’s environmental footprint, Leading Spas of Canada has now made their popular directory available online. “The spa industry is embracing the trend to become more ‘green’ in everything we do. Offering our directory online is a wonderful opportunity for our association to be more environmentally conscious while still providing the exquisite photography which showcases our spas so beautifully. Now being published online also, it allows more people from all over the world to explore and appreciate the uniqueness of the Canadian spa experience”, notes Leading Spas of Canada CEO, Wanda Love.
Of particular interest in the directory are the various ‘signature services’ offered by spas, with many of them featuring ingredients indigenous to the area; treatments using locally-harvested seaweed, body wraps with wild rosehip oil from Alberta’s provincial flower, blackberry vinotherapy massage, Aboriginal healing traditions are incorporated into treatments in Manitoba, Maple Sugar body scrubs, Muskoka cranberry soaks and vinotherapy in Ontario, apple blossom facials in the Annapolis Valley and even an ice-berg dip at a spa in Newfoundland.
