All-Star Lineup Announced for AVP Crocs Tour Tournament of Champions Stop in Mason

Three Olympic Medalists, Myriad of World-Class Athletes Take the Sand September 4-6.

Cincinnati, OH, August 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The 14th stop on the 16 city AVP Crocs Tour makes its way to Mason this Labor Day weekend, with it bringing 16 teams of each gender consisting of the best professional beach volleyball players in the world. Headlining the list of world-class athletes is two-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh, 2008 Olympic gold medalists Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers, Beijing Olympians Nicole Branagh, Elaine Youngs, Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal, as well as 2009 World Champions Jen Kessy and April Ross. AVP Crocs Tour stars Rachel Wacholder Scott, Sean Scott, John Hyden and Angie Akers, among others, will also take to the sand in Mason.

This is the fifth year the AVP Crocs Tournament of Champions has played in Mason, and promises to be the most star-studded one yet. Kerri Walsh, who made her official return to the world of professional volleyball at the beginning of August, will play with Rachel Wacholder Scott, who won the Mason tour stop in 2004.

The AVP Crocs Tour Tournament of Champions Mason is set to take place September 4-6 in Mason, OH at the Lindner Family Tennis Center. Sessions start on Friday, September 4 and run through Sunday afternoon, September 6 with both semi-finals and finals taking place on Sunday.
