Univenture’s Polypropylene Products Meet CPSIA Material Requirements
Packaging and Molded Plastic Materials Pass Lead and Phthalate Test Levels.
Marysville, OH, August 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Univenture, Inc. is an award-winning inventor and manufacturer of innovative, patented, environmentally friendly products for media packaging, document storage, presentation, and marketing mailers. The company is pleased to announce its products made of polypropylene films, resins, and spun bond polypropylene comply with the latest lead and phthalate safety standards and regulations as mandated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA). SGS US Testing Company, Inc., an independent, certified laboratory was one of the test facilities contracted by Univenture to test for CPSIA compliance.
“As an environmentally responsible company, we believe in manufacturing quality, eco-friendly products that are safe,” said Ross Youngs, CEO and Founder of Univenture. “Our CD/DVD packaging, document storage and mailing products are designed for reuse. If packaging is intended to be reused or used in conjunction with a child care item or with a children’s toy while playing, then it must be in compliance with CPSIA regulations. Univenture had the testing done by a certified, independent lab so our customers know we are committed to providing safe products,” added Youngs.
Univenture’s Safety-sleeve materials, UniKeep molded polypropylene, and EnvyPak mailers were tested for phthalate and lead compliance. Phthalates are a group of chemicals used in the manufacture of some plastics and are used for softening or flexibility purposes. Phthalates and lead were not detected in the Univenture products tested.
In addition to specific material test results, Univenture’s suppliers must annually confirm their materials do not include lead and phthalates. Suppliers must also confirm materials supplied will not be changed without first obtaining Univenture’s approval.
