Fowler Software Design is Partnering with Several Area Companies to Host Its 5th Annual Recycling Event
Denver-based custom software development company, Fowler Software Design, is partnering with area companies to provide recycling opportunities for the Denver community, hoping to spread the word about the importance of ALL recycling.
Denver, CO, August 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Fowler Software Design is asking you to Save The Date for Saturday, November 14 for their 5th Annual Recycling Event. This year, along with several partners, Fowler Software will be hosting a fun event with food and music, as well as the collection of electronics and old computers and monitors, just to name a few, to help clients, schools and the community properly recycle their old items. Fowler is very proud to partner with Metech, formerly GRX Recycling, as their recycling partner for this event. GRX was featured on 60 Minutes as being an ethical recycler and E-Steward for not shipping toxic electronic waste to developing countries.
CSIA (Colorado’s Technology Association), CORE (Connected Organizations for a Responsible Economy), OpenWorld Learning, Sprint and COMTuity are local partners with Fowler helping to spread the news about this event. A location has yet to be determined but will be located within the Central Denver area, probably at a school site. What can be done now is taking inventory of old electronics and computer equipment, grouping things and stockpiling in one location. On the day of the event, everything can be transported smoothly and everyone can enjoy the fun.
The main goal of this event is to shed light on the importance of properly recycling old electronic equipment. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency:
· Recycling 1 million desktop computers prevents the release of greenhouse gases equivalent to the annual emissions of over 17,000 passenger cars.
· Recycling 1 million cell phones saves enough energy to power more than 19,000 US households with electricity for an entire year.
