Secret Sexual Sins — a Crisis in the Church

Bushkill, PA, August 31, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Pastor Fred C. Rochester’s latest book, Secret Sexual Sins; Understanding a Christian’s Desire for Pornography, published by Outskirts Press, offers critical information and solutions for Christians addicted to pornography. It’s a subject most people, especially Christians, are loathe to approach, but judging from statistics, pornography and sexual immorality are major problems in the church among Christians and Christian leaders—a crisis that is destroying lives, families, and marriages. Secret Sexual Sins exposes little-known facts about the pornography industry, and offers insight into identifying addictive behavior patterns, plus practical solutions to prevent further destruction of the Christian family structure.

According to blazinggrace.org, nearly 70% of Christians were struggling with porn in their daily lives in 2007. In 2002, 54% of 1,351 pastors surveyed by Rick Warren’s Pastors.com were viewing porn within that year. Most disturbing, from a Focus on the Family Poll from 2003, was the fact that 47% of families claimed pornography to be a problem in their home.

Pastor Rochester says, “When we fail to discuss the entire subject of the righteousness of God contextually, we open the door to live any way we want to live.” He speaks from firsthand knowledge: as a pastor, he struggled for many years with a penchant for pornography, and during those years his family suffered, his church suffered, and his relationship with God suffered. Finally, after being caught by his wife, the couple began to deal with this issue, and Rochester is now free of his addiction. He wants to help others break free as well.

Secret Sexual Sins discusses why men and women are drawn to pornography. It identifies the money trail associated with it, and reveals why the adult entertainment industry promotes fornication, adultery, homosexuality, and denigrates the sanctity of marriage. The book also gives wives who suspect their husbands of viewing pornography the necessary tools to identify addictive behavioral patterns, and pulls the veil back to see what their husbands may be doing in secret. In the process of overcoming this addiction, the wives will benefit from a reestablished sense of value, confidence, self-worth, and self-esteem. Secret Sexual Sins not only exposes this sexual addiction, but provides practical solutions for the addict himself—helping him reestablish, restore, and maintain his relationship with God.

“This book will help those who view pornography to become free and live the sanctified and holy life. The sanctified life is not impossible. We can all become clean from secret sexual sins, and this book will tell you how,” Rochester says.

Get the secret sexual sins out of your lives. It’s the only way that you are going to live. We are only as sanctified as we want to be. The world is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. Well, here we are. When are we going to take our rightful place in the world as clean, sanctified vessels of the Lord? The time is now. No hesitation or purpose of evasion.

Secret Sexual Sins is written in a completely nonjudgmental way. The comfort to be gained from this book is partially due to the fact that it is written from a personal standpoint rather than a holier-than-thou lecture, making it appealing to those who need it the most. Backed by scripture, this book offers proven treatment techniques for men—and women—struggling with Internet porn addictions.
