Auroras Entertainment Announces Key Additions to Senior Management Team – VP of Sales, Terry Fletcher, and VP of Business Development, Jeremy Morrison
Kalispell, MT, September 12, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Auroras Entertainment formally announced the latest additions to its executive management team, with Vice Presidents of Sales and Business Development being brought into the fold. Terry Fletcher, formerly of I3 Micro, will head the company’s sales efforts as VP of Sales. Jeremy Morrison, formerly of Globecomm Systems Inc, will drive the company’s emerging markets initiatives, strategic partnerships and marketing efforts as VP of Business Development.
Auroras CEO Diane Smith praised Fletcher and Morrison when making the announcement. "Both Terry and Jeremy bring a wealth of extraordinary experience to Auroras. Their backgrounds in the IPTV and satellite industries will give us even deeper insight into the needs of our customers, business partners, and the market in general. The complex IPTV environment that we operate in requires first-rate leadership and vision. The fact that Auroras can attract individuals of this caliber is evidence of the strength of the Auroras business model."
Terry Fletcher, Vice President of Sales, brings a wealth of experience to Auroras, having been the Director of US sales for IPTV industry icons Myrio and I3 Micro. Although the industry has been characterized by slow growth in the past, Fletcher believes that is about to change and that Auroras will be a key driver in the rapid expansion of IPTV deployments in the US. “The head-end-in-the-sky concept has been discussed in the IPTV industry for years,” says Fletcher, “but it was never practical or cost effective. Auroras is bringing the concept to reality and for the first time, IPTV is practical for even the smallest network operators. I can’t help but be excited to be a part of the team that is finally making this possible. ”
Jeremy Morrison, Vice President of Business Development, has spent more than a decade on the front lines of the satellite transport industry with Globecomm Systems and brings a unique perspective to Auroras. “At Globecomm we helped steer the development of the satellite industry, and I have seen how those developments drive new markets and new opportunities for business on the ground. The most impressive aspect of Auroras and the thing that attracted me to the company is the clear understanding of the future of IPTV. This is a company that understands the interactive and on-demand capabilities that IPTV will provide to consumers. I am very excited to be joining such a progressive, forward thinking company.”
Auroras Entertainment provides a combination of services and technologies that enables service providers to deploy entertainment services to their customers over their existing broadband IP networks.
