Yubico Brings Strong Two Factor Authentication to osCommerce

Sunnyvale, CA, September 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Yubico has today finalized the integration of the YubiKey into osCommerce, the free and open source e-commerce system used by 200,000+ global web stores. By logging into the system with a YubiKey, order staff and customers can secure the integrity of the customer’s data.

osCommerce Online Merchant is a free and open source online shop e-commerce solution. The system features a rich set of out-of-the-box online shopping cart functionalities that allow store owners to setup, run, and maintain online stores with minimum effort and with no costs, fees, or limitations involved.

To protect customer data, the authentication innovator Yubico has developed a YubiKey plug-in into their web store built on the osCommerce platform.

The implementation is currently being certified by the osCommerce team. A native support for the YubiKey will be available in Q4 2009 at the release of osCommerce 3.0.
