Herrmann International to Receive Learning in Practice Award from Chief Learning Officer Magazine
Herrmann International will receive a 2009 Learning in Practice Award at the Fall Chief Learning Officer Symposium. The award recognizes Herrmann's newest offering, The Thinking Accelerator™ featuring HBDIinteractive™, a personalized simulation and action learning program designed to uncover thinking preferences and help people apply better thinking to achieve better results in leadership, teamwork, innovation, problem solving and communication.
Lake Lure, NC, September 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Herrmann International has been named a finalist in the prestigious 2009 Learning In Practice awards, sponsored by Chief Learning Officer magazine. The selection recognizes Herrmann’s newest offering, The Thinking Accelerator™ featuring HBDIinteractive™, an online simulation and action learning solution originally developed for IBM’s global new leader program.
“We received a record number of nominations this year,” says Mike Prokopeak, Vice President and Editorial Director of MediaTec Publishing. From those nominations, judges determined that The Thinking Accelerator™ featuring HBDIinteractive™ was one of the top entries in the Excellence in Content category.
According to Prokopeak, the panel of judges was composed of industry experts and executives from some of the world's largest and most-respected companies. As a finalist, Herrmann International will receive either the gold, silver or bronze award during a presentation ceremony on September 29 at the Fall Chief Learning Officer Symposium.
“This recognition is a testament to our successful, ongoing partnership with IBM,” says Ann Herrmann-Nehdi, CEO of Herrmann International. “Their expertise in developing innovative technology solutions combined with our methods of harnessing the power of thinking styles for real-world application led to the development of a unique blended solution that we believe meets or even surpasses what can be accomplished in the classroom alone.”
The Thinking Accelerator™ featuring HBDIinteractive™ blends a self-directed online simulation with action learning activities and business-focused application exercises to help people uncover their thinking preferences and apply Whole Brain® Thinking to improve leadership, teamwork, communication, problem solving and creativity. By incorporating the learner’s personalized Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument® (HBDI®) assessment profile into the five-module simulation, the program gives each participant an individualized online learning experience.
With its engaging interface and accompanying action learning exercises, The Thinking Accelerator™ featuring HBDIinteractive™ provides a high-quality alternative or supplement to classroom workshops, helping reduce travel costs and time away from the job while increasing the opportunity for business-oriented training application. IBM is also finding it to be an effective and efficient way to reach global audiences.
The official awards announcement will be made at the Fall Chief Learning Officer Symposium, scheduled for Sept. 28-30, 2009 at the Broadmoor, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Additional information: http://www.clomedia.com/awards/
