Haunted House in the Sacramento Area, Callson Manor

Sacramento, CA, September 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Bryan Patterson (A 26 year veteran of haunted houses) has assembled professional set designers, make-up artists and special effects artists from the film and haunt industries to form Callson Manor Haunted House. Rick Bongiovanni formerly with KNB Studios whom worked on such productions as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Godzilla and Wild Wild West will be joining them to produce the new prosthetic make-up peices for thier vampires. Joel Watson of Heartstoppers haunted house has joined in and together they cover a huge 55,000 sq. ft. compound at the Placer County Fairgrounds in Roseville. With the combination of professional artists, the sheer size of 3 full events and over $250,000 in custom animatronics and scene decor this haunted house has become the “must see” event in October. Their first year in Sacramento had an attendance of nearly 7,000 people making it the second most attended Halloween event in the Sacramento area in 2008. Making them second to the Zone Ball with a maximum (sold out) capacity of 13,500. This year’s web traffic reflects a 12k-13k expected attendance. In which case could quickly excel them to the top spot. Typically a haunted attraction would draw between 2k-4k in their first year.

Bryan Patterson is frequently asked to speak at haunted attraction trade shows to share his knowledge in animatronics and operations of haunted houses. His audio animatronic designs can be seen in haunted attractions, films, casinos, ads, fairs, and amusement parks across the country. His latest designs can be seen this year in at Callson Manor Haunted House.

This year’s new attraction is the Vampire’s Crypt. Featuring three levels of fear. Other new displays include Dr. Steampunks Lab which features Dr. Steampunk an award winning new animatronic character by SacFX Studios. This character roams the grounds on his “steam powered” wheelchair talking to guests and he has a few surprises to scare them with too. He’s a real Blast. The new VIP Scare zone has been outfitted with new furniture and a vampire bar.
