Obama High Opens for Fall Semester
Obama High Clothing Introduces Real Clothing Line for Fictitious High School.
New York, NY, September 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Obama High School Store is open for business. In the future real Barack Obama high schools might exist, but the Obama High Clothing Company did not want to wait. They created a brand new line of T-shirts, sweatshirts and other apparel for yet-to-be teams. There are shirts for Obama High Football, Obama High Basketball and even the Obama High Debate Team.
Inspired by his attendance at JFK High School in Long Island, clothing designer Gary Apple came up with this concept the same day Barack Obama was elected President. “I went to one of the hundreds of John F. Kennedy High Schools in the country,” says Apple. “Obama’s election was so remarkable and inspiring I just knew there would be Obama High Schools named after him some day.”
The T-shirts and sweatshirts offer a playful blend of school spirit and patriotic symbolism. For example, the Obama High Basketball shirt features Obama playing one-on-one with Abraham Lincoln in front of the White House.
When asked who would win such a fantasy match-up, Apple replied, “Lincoln. Besides freeing the slaves, he also had a heck of a jump shot.”
Authenticity is a key feature for the apparel. The clothing is designed to have the exact look and feel of actual school athletic wear. “Whenever I wear an Obama High shirt, people stop me to ask if there really is such a school.” says Apple
About Obama High Clothing:
Obama High Clothing comes in 11 different styles with varying colors and sizes for each design. Designs include the Debate Team, Football (2 designs), Basketball (2 designs), Track and Field, and some non-team designs such as “Property of Obama High.” Retail price range is $18.95 to $29.99.
All items are available online at www.obamahigh.com and local boutiques around the country.
