Resort Realty Appoints Michael Harrington as CEO
Resort Realty of the Outer Banks, has announced that Michael Harrington, formerly the General Manager for the company, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for the firm.
Nags Head, NC, September 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Resort Realty of the Outer Banks, has announced that Michael Harrington, formerly the General Manager for the company, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for the firm. Harrington served as General Manager for two and a half years before his promotion.
Founded in 1987, Resort Realty became a Prudential® Real Estate Affiliate in 1999, but chose to return to their Outer Banks roots in 2007 and did not renew their affiliate agreement with Prudential Realty. It was during this time that Harrington was hired to help with the transition. Under Harrington’s leadership and direction, Resort Realty has seen steady growth and success, and now oversees the property management and rentals of more than 450 vacation homes.
After earning his MBA with a concentration in Development and Environmental Planning, Harrington began his real estate career on Hatteras Island in 2004. Noted for understanding how to use the latest tools available to the industry, Harrington plans to continue the growth and success of the past two years. “As CEO I will continue to promote Resort’s mission of being the premier Outer Banks Real Estate Company,” he says. “By utilizing the most innovative techniques, we will continue to grow and push the limits of the real estate sales and vacation rental industry.”
Harrington is a member of the Outer Banks Association of Realtors Board of Directors and sits on the conference program planning committee of the Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA). Michael and his wife, Holly, are expecting their first child in September.
