R&B Singer Jimmie Reign Headlines the Second Annual Anieshia Brooks Benefit Dinner

Sacramento, CA, September 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Following last year’s stellar performance by Next Selection (Ryan Leslie) Artist Krys Ivory, R&B Singer Jimmie Reign has been confirmed as the headlining performer for the Second Annual Anieshia Brooks Benefit. The event, taking place on September 12, 2009 at Laguna Town Hall in Elk Grove, California, was organized in memory of Sacramento native Anieshia Brooks who lost her 10-month battle with cervical cancer on October 1, 2007. To fulfill Anieshia’s last wishes, her mother Angela Lawrence and brother Mykel Brooks coordinated a benefit to raise public awareness and funds for cervical cancer research.

“Last year we were blessed to have a phenomenal event featuring a special performance by my friend singer Krys Ivory,” says Mykel Brooks. “In our second year we’ve been lucky to lock down MPRINT Music artist Jimmie Reign who has been receiving a lot of radio airplay in the Sacramento area and can be seen on MTV regularly. My family and I are excited to have influential entertainers such as Ms. Ivory and Ms. Reign aid us in drawing attention to this important cause.”
