Liam Alexander’s "Behind the Curtain" Photography Exhibition at Envoy Enterprises September 8th - 20th Presented by CITY Magazine, Fame Game, and Stylecaster
New York, NY, September 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- September 8th marked the opening of fine art and fashion photographer Liam Alexander’s “Behind the Curtain,” featuring images taken backstage during some of the most prestigious runway shows over the past two seasons of NYFW. Hosted by CITY Magazine, Stylecaster, and Famegame at envoy enterprises, one of the Lower East Side’s leading contemporary art galleries, and curated by photography collector and art world consultant Severn Taylor, the show features select images from runway presentations including Tadashi Shoji, Rebecca Taylor, Brian Reyes, Jen Kao, rag & bone, Ruffian and others.
"I set out to create a body of work separate from the paparazzi swarming the backstage, that captures the beauty of the moment, is alive with color and motion, and captures the fervor of the backstage environment." says Liam. Few photographers are granted access behind the curtain pre-show to document these moments. Although on assignment at fashion week, all of the unique images in this collection are previously unpublished and have never been viewed by the public.
Liam's new work shot during spring/summer 2010 fashion week will be featured on StyleCaster.com’s daily photo diary Backstage Pass: by Liam Alexander - from September 10th through the17th.
"Behind the Curtain" is open to the public from September 9th through September 20th at Envoy Enterprises, open Tues - Sunday 12 - 6pm at 131 Chrystie Street, at Delancey on the Lower East Side. Contact: office@envoyenterprises or (212) 226-4555.
All of the prints featured in the show are available for sale in a limited edition of five, in two different sizes.
