In Honor of September 11th, Passion River Films Showcases Their Films Remembering the Victims and Heroes

Today is a day to remember those who were lost on September 11th, and local film distributor, Passion River Films, honors these victims through their films.

Metuchen, NJ, September 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Exactly eight years after the attacks of September 11, 2001, the country mourns the loss of those who were killed on that fateful day. Passion River Films honors these victims and heroes by highlighting their films that serve as reminders of the people who were lost and those who risked their lives to help out in the aftermath.

“Vito After” is a documentary that follows one NYPD detective as he copes with the repercussions of the September 11th attacks. Vito Friscia is an everyday hero, who risked his life to help those who were hurt and spent months helping sift through the rubble left after the attacks trying to bring a sense of closure to the families of the victims. Now, Vito deals with the physical as well as the emotional pain that arose after he bravely stepped up to help those in need.

“The Heart of Steel” is also a documentary that captures the stories of the selfless volunteers who dedicated their time in helping with America’s largest rescue and recovery mission. Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon states, “What M*A*S*H was to the Vietnam War, 'The Heart of Steel' is to 9/11.”

Passion River Films’ newest release about the September 11th attacks, “The Reflecting Pool,” is a thrilling drama about a Russian-American journalist (Jarek Kupsc) who investigates the attacks of that day. The story becomes extremely personal when the father of one of the victims (Joseph Culp) joins in finding out what really happened on 9/11. “The Reflecting Pool” is filled with many twists and turns and explores the possibility that many of the details of 9/11 were covered up and kept from the public.

All three films are available on Netflix.
