International award winning sleight of hand artist, Mitch Williams, brings his unforgettable one man stage show to Five Points Washington in Washington, IL for one show only on September 19, 2009 at 7:00 PM.
Washington, IL, September 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Five Points Washington plays host to a dynamic, mind bending, theatrical evening of mystery and fun. International award winning sleight of hand artist, Mitch Williams presents The ART of Magic!, his artistic, one-man, magical theatre show on Saturday, September 19 at 7:00 PM, for one show only. A portion of the proceeds from the show will go to benefit local charities and school organizations.
"I'm just thrilled to be bringing my show to the beautiful Five Points stage," says star of the show, Mitch Williams. "Five Points has such a strong commitment to community involvement, and I love being able to make my show available to the local audiences, many of whom have never before had the opportunity to see the unique type of entertainment that I provide. And I love that we're also giving back to local community groups in these financially difficult times."
Mitch Williams is a multi-talented, world-class contemporary magical performing artist who has performed in Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, and Lake Tahoe, as well as in Japan, Canada and Europe, for venues as diverse as television, cruise ships, revue shows, nightclubs, theatres, and corporate events. He has appeared on the same shows with such notable celebrities as Doug Henning, Penn & Teller, Lance Burton, Elaine Booslier, Rosie O'Donnell, Marty Allen, Jeff Dunham, and Dennis Miller. Williams has also presented workshops for other magicians throughout the country on how to approach magic as an actual art form, all to rave reviews.
In an unconventional shift of focus in magic from the traditional "how is it done?" to "why?", Williams challenges his audiences to suspend their disbelief and takes them on a whirlwind journey of enchantment, adventure, and wonder into the world of the mysterious. He brings a wide variety of talents, skills, and expertise to his work, making his show one of the most original and innovative in his field. By blending magic, pantomime, juggling, movement, music, and theatrical costuming and special effects with his dynamic stage persona, he creates a lasting impression on audiences wherever he performs.
Tickets for the show are $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under, and can be purchased at the Five Points website: www.fivepointswashington.org or by phone at 309-444-8222.
