Hundreds Attend Art Source for Design Opening Event

Scottsdale, AZ, September 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Over 200 people attended the grand opening of Art Source for Design, the newest addition to Scottsdale's art scene. Guests enjoyed a three hour live acoustic performance by Carolyn Sills & Gerard Egan as well as delicious wine and chef's tastings from local Scottsdale restaurants Bad to the Bone, Fresh Mint, Pasta Primo, Arrivederci Restaurant and Grapes Pizza & Wine Bar Cuisine.

Local artists Marian Crane, Joel Holsinger, Marlene Burns and Robert Gunther were in attendance to meet the enthusiastic crowd. Also featured at the event were works by Los Angeles artists Byron Buchanan and Derek David as well as mixed media art by Corey West, New York abstract artist Jane Hugentober, award winning artist Caroline Jasper and fine art photographers Mallorie Ostrowitz and Abhi Ganju.

Art Source Design is planning to offer these community events to provide a connection between Valley residents and local arts, musicians and restaurants. "The idea is to come together to provide a free enjoyable evening for guests and at the same time gain exposure for local businesses. It's a win-win situation", statesgallery director Judi Bagnato. Attendees shared in the enthusiasm for this event. "To be honest, I initially attended because it just seemed like a fun, free evening. But after meeting and speaking with some of these artists I'm really hooked on the artwork now and look forward to the next event and hopefully purchasing one", stated Scottsdale resident Alison David.

In addition to showcasing compelling artwork and artist exhibits, Art Source Design is taking an active role in the community by sponsoring fundraising art auctions for local non-profit organizations.
