The United States is the leading producer of geothermal electricity, with 16,581 million kilowatt hours produced in 2006. The Philippines is second, with 10.465 kilowatt hours produced in 2006.
Germany is the leading producer of both solar and wind electricity. In 2006, Germany produced 2,220 million kilowatt hours of wind electricity, far in excess of the number two producer, the U.S., who produced 550 million kilowatt hours. In 2006, Germany produced 30,710 kilowatt hours of wind electricity.
China is the leading hydro electricity producer, with 441, 280 million kilowatt hours produced in 2006. Canada ranks number two, with 355, 511 million kilowatt hours produced.
