Career Step has partnered with the University of North Dakota to offer training to individuals interested in pursing careers in medical transcription and medical coding and billing.
Provo, UT, September 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Career Step, a leading healthcare education company, has partnered with the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D. to offer training to individuals interested in pursing careers in medical transcription and medical coding and billing.
“We’re excited about the career education opportunities our partnership will bring to the students of the University of North Dakota,” said Career Step’s Vice President of Business Services, Cameron Loflin. “Through our partnership with UND, students will gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the growing fields of medical transcription and medical coding and billing.”
The new programs will expand the University of North Dakota’s online offerings. Students who enroll in these online courses will have the flexibility to train entirely on their own schedules, increasing the career training options of many, especially non-traditional, students.
When asked why the University of North Dakota was interested in offering the Career Step programs Nora Hubbard, Personal & Professional Development Coordinator at the University of North Dakota, said, “Career Step offers comprehensive training and great support for our students, even after they have graduated from the program.”
University of North Dakota will be holding two informational Open Houses on Tuesday, September 22 from 10 a.m. to noon and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The sessions will be held in room 211 of the Skalicky Tech Incubator on the UND campus and will provide more information on the advantages of training through the University of North Dakota’s Career Step offerings and the attractive career opportunities in the fields of medical transcription and medical coding and billing.
