NRCCUA Names Dr. Gerard Rooney to Board of Advisors
Lee's Summit, MO, September 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The National Research Center for College & University Admissions™ (NRCCUA®) today announced the appointment of Dr. Gerard Rooney to the organization’s Board of Advisors. Dr. Rooney brings with him nearly 30 years of experience in education from both secondary and higher education; and executive administration levels. He currently serves St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY as the Senior Vice President of Enrollment Management and Planning.
Dr. Rooney and the NRCCUA Board of Advisors will provide counseling on external developments in education and how they affect the NRCCUA mission to provide high school students with information on college and career planning and access to higher education.
“NRCCUA’s long history of helping students achieve their educational goals and realize their career aspirations is commendable. I welcome the opportunity to serve on the Board of an organization whose work touches so many students’ lives in such a meaningful way,” said Dr. Rooney.
Dr. Rooney holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy and he frequently speaks at the local, state and national level on enrollment management. He has held the office of President for both the National Catholic College Admission Association (www.catholiccollegesonline.org) and the Pennsylvania Association of Catholic College Admissions Counselors (www.pacac.org). He has also served multiple times as a team member for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
