Calloway’s Nursery to Host the North & Central Texas Herb Society of America
Fort Worth, TX, September 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, Oct. 10th, Calloway’s Nursery at Preston Road in Plano will host the North and Central Texas Unit of the Herb Society of America.
Calloway’s has chosen to partner with this non-profit organization to help raise funds and increase awareness. The event, which will be held at 1000 Preston Road in Plano, will be a flea market-type environment where the Herb Society will re-use and repurpose all things pertaining to gardening and herbs including pass-a-long plants from their gardens, seeds harvested from their gardens, old garden décor and signs, gently read gardening and cooking magazines and books, herbal products and crafts. The group will also be on site to share information about the organization as well as answer herb-related questions.
“One of the goals of our national organization this year is to promote “green” living. When we were considering our fundraising options, a “green” event seemed like the natural choice. We are thrilled to partner with Calloway’s to promote our passion — the delight and use of herbs,” Joy Lilljedahl of the North and Central Texas Unit of the Herb Society of America commented.
“At Calloway’s, we believe in giving back to the community by partnering with organizations, such as the Herb Society. We are sure this event will be beneficial for the group as well as our customers,” Kimberly Bird, Vice President of Retail Marketing said.
