AccesStream Releases Version 1.1 of Its Flagship Enterprise Open Source Identity Access Management Solution
Atlanta, GA, September 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- AccesStream, an open source provider of security solutions, is pleased to announce the release of version 1.1 of its identity access management (IAM) solution to the open source community. The source code is available for immediate download from AccesStream’s website.
AccesStream version 1.1 is the latest in a continuing series of releases along AccesStream’s product roadmap. The AccesStream solution delivers authentication, authorization, provisioning, policy administration and full Single Sign-On capabilities. Its open architecture and adherence to open standards ensure interoperability and reduce implementation complexity. Its modular and flexible design accommodates environments of all sizes and configurations. AccesStream can be implemented as the main IAM solution in an enterprise environment or implemented to provide very limited and specific functionality along side of an existing IAM solution.
Version 1.1 adds to the functionality of previous releases with support for basic dashboards and reporting. Reporting examples will be included in a subsequent version 1.1.1 release. Also included is a strengthening of role-based authorization enforcement within the web administration application and a filtering capability in the identity gateway for displayed applications after user authentication. Along with this new functionality, version 1.1 hardens core functionality and closes feature gaps between current capabilities and those required by early adopters.
Lance Edelman, Co-Founder and CEO, states “We are very pleased with our progress and the reception we have received so far. While the economic downturn has taken a toll on IT budgets and has indefinitely stalled most proprietary identity access management (IAM) projects, the AccesStream open source solution provides organizations with a cost effective alternative that allows them to continue their IAM projects within their budgetary constraints. We look forward to future releases and the continued growth of our customer base and our open source community.”
