Hawaii International Film Festival Call for Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to assist with this year's festival from October 15-25 at Regal Dole Cannery Stadium 18 Cinemas.
Honolulu, HI, September 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF) is just six weeks away and as preparation gets underway HIFF is calling for volunteers to help. "Volunteers are at the heart of our organization and we appreciate their motivation and enthusiastic support," says HIFF executive director Chuck Boller. Volunteers are needed to assist with this year's festival from October 15-25 at Regal Dole Cannery Stadium 18 Cinemas. In exchange for working the festival, volunteers can get into HIFF movies for free. Volunteers will receive a free movie voucher in exchange for each shift they work, as well as a HIFF volunteer T-shirt.
Shifts are 3 4 hours long. Volunteers are especially needed for theater operations during weeknights. Anyone interested please call (808) 697-2463.
Festival information Established in 1981, the Hawaii International Film Festival is dedicated to the advancement of understanding and cultural exchange among the peoples of Asia, the Pacific and North America through the medium of film. HIFF is the premier international film event in the Pacific and has won the praise of governments, filmmakers, scholars, educators, programmers and film industry leaders throughout the world. For the discovery and exhibition of Asian and Pacific features, documentaries and short films in the nation, it is a primary source.
