Group Workcamps Announces New Youth Missions for 2010

The Group Workcamps Foundation exists as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization to provide dynamic short-term mission trips that help children, youth, and adults connect to Jesus while serving people in Christ's name.

Loveland, CO, September 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Today Group Workcamps announced new locations for the 2010 youth missions season. There are now over 45 locations that youth can choose when deciding where to serve next summer.

Group Workcamps new 2010 youth missions locations include:

- Red Mesa, AZ
- Centralia, IL
- Royal Center, IN
- Rushville, IN
- Chestertown, MD
- Belfast, ME
- China Grove, NC
- Newton, NC
- Franklin, NH
- Washington, NJ
- Coshocton, OH
- Hamilton, OH
- Scranton, PA

The Workcamps are typically six-day camps for kids ages 12-20 specializing in home repair. Each camp of approximately 400 people will work at a home in small teams (5-6 people with one or two adults), helping someone special. The youth on their mission trip will perform acts of service through home repair, basic construction and painting.

Everyone will serve; each with important roles and each project is incredibly meaningful to the people being served. Activities for the 2010 youth missions season can include:

• Interior and exterior painting
• Building or repairing porches and wheelchair ramps
• Building or repairing steps
• Weatherization and other home repairs

During the 2010 youth missions, even the daily programs are special. There won’t be a boring sermon, but a high-impact, interactive program filled with music, Scripture, video, drama, stories, and hands-on activities. Programs and daily devotions, designed by Group Magazine, help shape teens’ service experience into a spiritual growth experience.
