Yats Wine Cellars Opens Wine Shop in Philippines Called Clark Wine Center
Wine lovers all over Asia know of this place and make the trip to Clark Philippines to load up on rare vinage wines that are often cheap in comparison to prices in their home towns.
Hong Kong, Hong Kong S.A.R., September 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- ClarkWineCenter, owned and operated by Yats Wine Cellars established in 2000 to address the requirement of a growing population of wine enthusiasts in the Philippines. Clark Wine Center caters to the discerning client who requires these qualities in their wines:
Excellent value
Large selection of labels and vintages to choose from
Properly aged wines ready for full enjoyment.
The ever-growing 4000+ selections in Clark Wine Center can be divided into three categories.
Category one: Top-end vintage wine
Vintages of the greatest names in wine spanning over a century in vintages can be found on the wine list all properly rested and ready to be served.
Category two: Great value vintage wine
Probably the most unique part of Clark Wine Center, a very wide range of aged vintage wines is offered at mid-range prices of US$50 to 250 covering vintages of the last 60 years. This also includes less famous labels and less illustrious vintages all too quickly written off by wine critics before. These bottles represent the best value for money especially to connoisseurs of aged vintage wine.
Category three: For Everyday Enjoyment
This is an area where complacency frequently occurs in wine selection because of the low price range. Yats pays particular attention to ensure that a low price tag doesn’t necessarily mean mediocrity. Not only so, there are constantly new offerings every month of the year to keep things interesting in the everyday drinking section.
Clark Wine Center started off in Clark Freeport, Pampanga, an easy 90-minute drive along the North Expressway from Metro Manila. Category one wines can be found in the cellars of the fine-dining Yats Restaurant and Wine Lounge situated inside Clark’s Mimosa Leisure Estate, just before the Casino. Yats operates the Clark Wine Center – an independent two-storey building located on the main road of Clark Freeport. Here you can find the Category two and Category three wines.
Public wine tastings are held from time to time in Clark and sometimes in Manila. Tickets range from p500 to p1500 for these themed events that are professionally run –no wine merchants sponsorship, pushy salesmen or tacky banners to ruin the evening. Each ticket contains a certain number of stubs that you can redeem for a tasting pour of a wine of your choice among those on a line-up. Very often, the lineup contains wines that are quite old and expensive. This makes Yats Wine Tasting events the most cost-effective venue to explore new options and expand our knowledge of wine through first-hand encounters.
Wine Seminars have been conducted in the past and may be offered from time to time. These seminars deal with intermediate to advanced subject matters that are aimed at providing useful and practical knowledge for the wine enthusiasts. Topics are focused and treatment, in depth. Most seminars include a guided tasting session after the lecture. This adds “lab” experience to knowledge acquired.
Wine-paired dinners are organized either at Yats Restaurant in Clark or in collaboration with other restaurants and organizers. Unlike wine dinners organized by a wine merchant, the wines in Yats wine dinners are not confined to a narrow range of selections. Yats Wine Shops do not need to “push” a narrow range of products like Chilean or Australian wines for example.
Sister company Yats Restaurant and Wine Lounge is a very wine-sensitive fine-dining establishment. B Y O (Bring Your Own) Wine evenings occur regularly for wine enthusiasts to enjoy their recent finds over a gourmet meal specially crafted to be wine friendly. The wine list of Yats Restaurant is equally impressive and satisfying to the hard-to-please. Mark-up is small and that makes it one of the friendliest wine restaurants in Asia.
Despite all that, Yats is committed to stay ahead of the growth of the market. Knowing full well that our clients are becoming increasingly well versed in wines, our products and services have to grow at a faster pace so that the market will never outgrow them as a wine and a service provider.
