Niscayah and RiskWatch Partner on New Hospital Security Risk Assessment Software Program
A new software program to meet Joint Commission requirements for Risk Assessment on safety and security of patients has brought Niscayah and RiskWatch together to distribute the popular programs to hospitals in the U.S.
Annapolis, MD, September 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Martin Guay, Chief Operations Officer and President of Niscayah, Inc. announced today that RiskWatch and Niscayah have formed a partnership to distribute the new RiskWatch for Hospital Security, which conducts the full risk assessment as required by the new Joint Commission guidelines in the areas of safety and security of patients, and including Emergency Planning, reducing infant abduction, mitigating violence in the emergency room, and life safety issues.
“The use of an automated, repeatable and verifiable way of conducting security risk assessments is the wave of the future in security,” said Randy Fierbaugh, Director of the Healthcare Solutions Group for Niscayah. “The complex task of applying these new guidelines and creating cost effective solutions for their implementation will be streamlined by the use of the RiskWatch for Hospitals™ software. The ability to use a web-based program to incorporate input from people in different parts of the organization and be able to compare results over time creates a much more comprehensive assessment, and creates a security baseline for the hospital.”
The software will be part of a total service which will give clients the training and expertise to create a comprehensive and focused risk assessment which will include: threat analysis, review of policies and procedures, interior and perimeter security elements for facilities, staff, parking, and visitor and vehicle controls.
