Santa Barbara Mortgage Advisor Sets Goal to Raise $5000 to Fight Cancer

Santa Barbara, CA, September 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Jeremy Kossen, a Santa Barbara, California-based mortgage advisor and loan officer has committed to donating $100 for every loan transaction he completes between now and October 31, 2009.

Mr. Kossen will also match donations of any of his clients —on new business — up to an additional $100 for a potential of $300 per loan transaction.

According to the American Cancer Society, an estimated 1,479,350 Americans will be diagnosed with cancer this year, and another 562,340 will die from the disease:

“With the staggering number of cancer cases in the U.S. every year, nearly everyone is directly or indirectly affected by cancer at some point during their lives,” said Kossen. “I believe it’s important for business people to give back, and by committing to donating a portion of my commissions to research, treatment and prevention, I hope I can help others affected by cancer.”

Mr. Kossen will make the donation on behalf of any of his new or existing clients who secure financing for purchase or refinance transactions in California between now and October 31, 2009. Clients can designate which charity they would like the donation to go to:
“There are so many amazing charities working diligently to fight cancer and help those affected by the disease. The American Cancer Society, Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, Breast Cancer Research Fund and CureSearch/National Childhood Cancer Foundation, are just a few of the foundations that are doing great work,” said Mr. Kossen. “People have been affected by cancer in different ways, and I’d like to give my clients the choice to choose which charity they would like to benefit.”
