TiE Detroit announces Rick Snyder as Keynote Speaker for TiECon Midwest 2009
Farmington Hills, MI, September 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Detroit chapter of TiE, also known as “Talent, Ideas, Enterprise,” announced today Rick Snyder as the keynote speaker for TiECon Midwest 2009, Michigan’s Largest Conference on entrepreneurship to be held October 23 and 24, 2009 at The Ritz-Carlton, Dearborn. The announcement was made today by TiE Detroit President, Tel Ganesan.
“We are excited that our own native Michigander Rick Snyder will join us at Michigan’s best entrepreneurial conference designed for the Innovative Entrepreneur,” said Ganesan. Rick is Chairman of the Board, CEO and a co-founder of Ardesta. He was the former Chairman of Ann Arbor SPARK. His responsibilities included overseeing all company operations and assisting in the strategic direction of the company. During his tenure at Gateway, the company grew from a privately held $500 million company to a NYSE-traded organization with revenues in excess of $6 billion. His primary business activities focus on the technology industry and the development of emerging and high growth companies. Besides his business responsibilities, Rick is active in community affairs and holds leadership positions in a variety of charitable and economic development organizations. A proud, native Michigander, Rick is republican contender for Governor of State of Michigan.
