Starr Tincup Creative Director Moves to Account Management
Joe Galvan embarks on new career journey.
Fort Worth, TX, September 24, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Starr Tincup, an integrated marketing firm focused on customer selection, acquisition and retention for software and services companies, announced today that Joe Galvan is taking on a new position within the firm. Joe is moving from his role as creative director for Starr Tincup to an account support role in which a part of his time will be spent working directly with clients. When he is working on client management, his focus will be client accounts, as opposed to web and graphic design and indirect client support.
Joe’s new role will leverage his creative design background to create a positive client management experience for the firm’s top customers. This dualistic assignment is an important concept of the new marketing agency model, which is embraced by Starr Tincup. The new agency model seeks to decrease specialization so that each employee will spend at least 20 percent of his time managing accounts and working with clients. Joe’s transition is a natural progression following this model, as he will continue to work within his specialization and also work directly with his clients.
“Joe’s experience as a creative director enables him to accurately assess the creative aspect of the client’s account,” said Bret Starr, principal and co-founder of Starr Tincup. “His creative expertise is a rare talent that not every account manager possesses.”
Joe’s knowledge of the creative aspect of the list-offer-creative impact formula will enable him to provide to clients insight that is not immediately available to other account managers. This formula is often used by marketers to discuss the elements of an integrated marketing campaign and the necessary delegation of time and resources to each. Most account managers have extensive knowledge about the list and offer, but not about the creative element. Joe will apply his expertise in all three elements to his clients’ accounts.
“He has an area of competency that is very rare for an account manager,” said J. William Tincup, principal and co-founder of Starr Tincup. “He has the ability to evaluate an account holistically, and this fusion of creative and management is a huge asset to our firm. And Joe is awesome.”
