Cheltenham, MD, September 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- LadyLit Press proudly announces the release of debut author K.L. Brady's hilarious new novel, The Bum Magnet. Brady thinks women need a cure for "Wrong Men-itis" ...so she wrote a prescription in the form her funny and entertaining book.
"The Bum Magnet" chronicles a year in the life of realtor Charisse Tyson who wonders why she attracts "fixer-uppers" and searches the nightmares of her boyfriend's past for answers. Charisse seems to have it all-a great job, a dream car, and a McMansion in high-and-mightyville. Everything in her life is just right...except the Mister. While lamenting the break-up with her most recent "the one" during a holiday meltdown, Charisse realizes she has a type when it comes to men-players, players, and more players. A magazine article motivates her to swear off men and examine the complex roots of her romantic fiascos.
Just five simple steps to transform Charisse's love life to the stuff of legends, right? Life is never that easy.
Brady, a D.C. native who lives in Prince George's County, the setting of her new novel, says she is often asked if the book is based on her personal experiences. "Let's put it this way, when I told my family and friends I wrote a book called the The Bum Magnet, they all asked, 'Is it an autobiography?'"
