Phoenix, AZ, June 27, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Jimmy Dee Caterine guitarist and founder of 80's metal group Sacred Rite will be doing an exclusive live one hour radio interview on Artist First World Network Radio on Thursday, June 30'th 2005 at 10:00 PM EST. Jimmy Caterine has been an independent musician since he started in 1980 with the progressive metal band from Hawaii, Sacred Rite. Caterine has 16 album credits to his name, all indie. With Sacred Rite And Tragic Nancy, Jimmy Caterine has performed on stages from smoke filled bar rooms to packed stadiums, sharing the stage with Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, Triumph, Ronnie Montrose, Yngwie Malmsteen, REO Speedwagon and many more.
Aside from his original projects, Caterine was the guitarist for the Honolulu run of Rocky Horror Picture Show, running for 3 months in 1987. In 1995 he backed up blues and country vocalist Sami Jo Cole to celebrate her triumph over cancer. From '97 to'98 Jimmy played with Time Machine, a classic rock tribute band, geared towards conventions in Las Vegas, Nevada. After a short hiatus from playing due to an injury to his left arm in 1999, Caterine decided to do an instrumental album featuring some of his best work. But misfortune would fall in Jimmy's path before the albums completion. In April of 2001 Caterine's automobile collided with three other cars leaving him permanently blind in his left eye.
Despite the injury, in 2003, Caterine's "Cognition" was finally completed and acclaimed as one of the finest classical guitar works released in that year within the independent community. The show will also cover songs from some of Caterine's newer pursuits and projects. Jimmy Caterine released Fear - Pain - Love in early 2005 and is currently in the studio producing 2 additional projects along with production for at least one other group and Prime 7 which consists of Caterine on guitar (www.caterine-music.com), Louis Lamp on violin (www.paradice.net), Mike Jordet on piano (www.stonehengerox.com), GonzoBass on bass (www.gonzobass.com), Wade Bachrach on guitar, Phil Rocca on drums (www.philterstudios.com) along with a few guest performers.
Caterine has the sheer ability to create a passionate relationship between the listener and his compositions. A journey for the mind, one which can leave you feeling emotionally alive. Caterine invites you to share part of that journey on Thursday, June 30'th, 2005 7pm Pacific, 8pm Mountain, 9pm Central and 10pm Eastern time.
