Michael Carpenter, Former Charles Schwab VP, tapped to manage ongoing growth of systems infrastructure and network platforms at leading technology restoration provider Image Microsystems

Austin, TX, September 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Image Microsystems— the leading provider of technology restoration, reverse logistics, e-waste recycling, and recycled plastic products manufacturing —today announced the appointment of Michael Carpenter as the company’s Vice President of Information Technology.

Mr. Carpenter will be responsible for leading Image Microsystems’ information technology initiatives including the implementation of new “green” IT projects. He is also tasked with management of customized IT “return to vendor” processes for major retail clients.

“Michael's leadership will be instrumental in the ongoing design and management of Image Microsystems' internal systems and networks,” states Dr. Alex Abadi, CEO of Image Microsystems. “Our service offerings and customers are so unique, it’s often necessary to implement customizable applications for them. We feel it’s crucial to have an industry expert on staff to help us develop systems and processes that improves our already high levels of customer service,” adds Abadi. “We’ve seen the type of work Michael has spearheaded at other major corporations such as Charles Schwab—and we want to exploit that kind of leadership and creativity here at Image Microsystems. We also need our IT infrastructure to keep pace with our rapidly accelerating growth”.

“I’m looking forward to leveraging the types of highly available infrastructure expansion programs I designed for financial services, medical technology, and e-commerce companies at an award-winning organization like Image Microsystems. I’m also excited about the opportunity to be involved with a firm that is so focused on sustainability, security, technical innovation, and community”, confirmed Michael Carpenter. “The technology systems we implement here not only help prevent e-waste from going into landfills and harming our environment—but also help our community. As a result of our partnership with the Texas School for the Deaf, more than 25% of our workforce are deaf or hearing impaired,” continued Carpenter. “I’m eager to see how I can enhance our IT initiatives to better serve the special needs team members on our staff.”
