The Flores and Foley Roofing & Sheet Metal Companies Volunteer in the Habitat for Humanity Builders Blitz
Flores & Foley participated in the Habitat for Humanity Builders Blitz at The Cottages at Cornerstone, along with six local builders.
Wilmington, NC, September 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- As part of their mission, Flores and Foley Roofing & Sheet Metal Companies strives to provide comprehensive roofing services at levels that consistently exceed expectations, with regard to quality, safety and customer service. Such a promise takes on a whole new meaning when provided to the families, now living in their Habitat for Humanity home given to them last year.
In June of 2008 Flores & Foley participated in the Habitat for Humanity Builders Blitz at The Cottages at Cornerstone, which provided low-income families with secure and reputable housing. The company donated time, building supplies, equipment and their employees to help with the building efforts for three homes.
“We were very pleased to be a part of something like this in our community, said Peter Foley, Owner and General Manager of Flores & Foley. “It shows the spirit and generosity of those in the local building industry, especially the builders who pulled this off. We’re happy that in keeping true to our mission three families have been able to enjoy the homes for the last year and will continue to do so for a long time to come.”
There were six local builders involved, including; David James and Co., Kent Homes, The Farlow Group, Jernigan Homes, Frank Bernhart Custom Homes, and Del Mar of Wilmington.
The six local builder companies were joined with over 125 professional volunteers to complete the homes. They all teamed up and were determined to build three houses in less than a week. The short amount of time and obstacles at hand were no competition to the determination the building companies brought to the table. Within the week, the teamwork and efforts to finish the houses were through the roof.
