Shoe Metro Opening First Retail Store to Serve Local Customers
Online retailer, Shoe Metro, will be opening its first retail store location. The store will offer more hands-on service and convenience to local San Diego customers. The grand opening will take place the weekend of October 2-4.
San Diego, CA, September 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Online retailer Shoe Metro, which operates the Internet site, www.shoemetro.com, announced today plans to open their first retail store location. It will be a milestone for the retailer, which has been selling shoes online since 2004. Soon, local customers wanting hands-on service and more personal communication will be able to receive that extra care. The store's grand opening will take place on the weekend of October 2-4 in San Diego, where the company resides.

The retail store inventory connects directly to the Shoe Metro warehouse so customers will be able to personally sample any of the 90,000+ pairs of shoes in stock, including athletic shoes, casual shoes, dress shoes, heels/pumps, sandals, boots, and more. Computer kiosks with a simplified, user-friendly search program will allow customers to pinpoint the exact shoes they desire. Shoe Metro staff will be waiting on-hand to retrieve those items from the warehouse and return them to the customers. The store's grand opening weekend (Oct. 2-4) coincides with the MCAS Miramar Air Show at the nearby military station.
