It's Official! Customers Come First at Beauty First

Auckland, New Zealand, October 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Beauty First in Browns Bay have had their commitment to quality customer service recognised in a prestigious business competition. The beauty salon won a Highly Commended in the Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards "Excellence in Service Delivery" category.

To satisfy the judges, Beauty First had to show:

• The company-wide philosophy, culture and commitment to the customer
• How the company monitors customer satisfaction
• How company ensures that the whole team is able to deliver a high standard of service
• How this commitment to Service Delivery contributes to business success

Beauty First's owner and senior therapist Hayley Sadler has run the business for just three years and her aim has always been to offer an honest, sensible and unpretentious approach to beauty for real women. This common sense attitude has attracted a loyal local clientele, as well as customers from as far north as Whangaparaoa and as far south and west as Papatoetoe and Glen Eden.

Hayley is also lucky to have two outstanding beauticians working with her. Sophie Pirie graduated from the Elite International School of Beauty & Spa Therapies in 2005 as Beautician Of The Year and Electrolygist Of The Year. The newest member of the Beauty First team, Ruth Gamble graduated from Elite in 2004 winning the award for Outstanding Performance & Presentation.

"A commitment to customer service is surely at the heart of any successful beauty salon, so we actively seek out and then act upon feedback from our clients," says Hayley Sadler. "I'm thrilled that my team, our clients and the Awards' judges all agree that we're doing a good job."

However, Hayley is not complacent, acknowledging that there is always room for improvement. "We'll continue to listen to our clients, and our aim is to be in the Top 3 for this category next year".

The Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence awards attracted a record 158 entries this year, up from 115 in 2008.

Beauty First was established in 2003, and moved to its current premises in Inverness Road, Browns Bay in 2007. The salon specialises in Dermalogica and ASAP products and treatments, as well as waxing, electrolysis and tanning-without-UV.
