Allegro Mobile Solutions Successfully Achieves Certification from Symbol Technologies’ SymbolPLUS Solutions Validation Program
Allegro Mobile Solutions, industry leader in providing enterprise mobility systems announces that its software platform, Gelatoware(TM), achieved co-validation through Symbol Technologies’ SymbolPLUS Solutions Validation Program, guaranteeing interoperability with Symbol mobile devices, wireless infrastructure and mobility management software.
Mississauga, Canada, September 21, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Allegro Mobile Solutions announced today that its software platform, Gelatoware(TM), achieved co-validation through Symbol Technologies’ SymbolPLUS Solutions Validation Program, guaranteeing interoperability with Symbol mobile devices, wireless infrastructure and mobility management software.
“Allegro became validated faster and smoother than any other validation I’ve worked with since the program started. Their Gelatoware platform is a very effective solution architecture.” said Pat McCullough, vice president and general manager of Symbol’s Solutions Division. The test took place at Symbol’s state of the art Solutions Validation Center in Holtsville, New York. Wireless software applications running on Allegro’s Gelatoware platform were rigorously tested on Symbol’s MC70 and MC9000 family of handheld devices with WWAN, WLAN, and WPAN capabilities. The validation provides additional confidence to end users of Allegro’s compatibility with Symbol products, and for Allegro to distinguish itself from the competition.
“We were thrilled to participate in the program and demonstrate our continued commitment to our partnership with Symbol,” said Savino Griesi, CEO of Allegro. “We are proud of our team’s product development expertise and we look forward to future opportunities as a result of this exciting news.”
The Gelatoware platform provides the basis of Allegro’s powerful enterprise mobility solutions, holding the fundamental components of common wireless applications. It allows applications to be built faster and leaner as tailored business applications sit on top of this layer and employ Gelatoware’s solid array of services.
The solutions Allegro provides drive efficiencies in their clients’ businesses, improving productivity while decreasing errors and administration costs. Clients such as Canon Canada and Manitoulin Transport enjoy the process improvements afforded by collecting and transmitting data in real time. “Their level of customer care and quality is what has given us the edge into the future and provided us with an end to end solution,” commented Alex Olianski, Sr. Systems Analyst for Canon Canada’s service operation.
Allegro looks to continue its growth as a leader in providing full spectrum mobility solutions in the North American market for transportation/logistics, retail, healthcare, government and field service. By offering cutting edge technical competency, consulting, design, implementation and support services across the project lifecycle, Allegro fills an important niche to enterprise customers. “Allegro has taken their superior knowledge of our products to produce a targeted platform that protects the application level developer from device complexities,” commented Robert Chen, VP of Mobile Computing of Symbol Technologies. “It’s a truly valuable feature when building enterprise level solutions.”
