Calloway’s Nursery to Sell Tickets to the 2009 Celina Garden Club Tour
Fort Worth, TX, October 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Calloway’s Nursery has partnered with the Celina Garden Club to sponsor a garden tour to various gardens in the Celina, Texas area on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009.
Tickets to attend the tour can be purchased for $10 through Oct. 9 at Calloway’s Nursery garden center at 4050 W. Eldorado Parkway in McKinney, Texas. The ticket also includes a light lunch at Hauk Custom Pools. The Celina Garden Club, who is facilitating this event, is a non-profit organization whose monthly meetings in members’ homes promote learning more about successful gardening in North Texas. Proceeds from the tour will benefit the Celina Garden Club scholarship that is presented to a graduating Celina High School senior who plans to further his or her education in horticulture.
“The Celina Garden Club is thrilled to partner with Calloway Gardens in celebrating our second year of showcasing some of Celina’s most beautiful gardens. The host homes in this year’s tour will feature many landscapes that you can incorporate in your own personal gardens. Whether you love gardening or just the beauty of admiring the outdoors, The Celina Garden Tour is the place to come and enjoy the beauty and fellowship. The homes are sure to encourage you to start a new garden project!” Dawn Beall, Garden Tour Chair, commented.
“At Calloway’s Nursery, we strive to help Texas gardeners find success in the garden, and because the Celina Garden Club’s mission is quite similar, I just knew Calloway’s Nursery should engage in this effort with them,” Kimberly Bird, Vice President of Retail Marketing said.
Calloway’s and Cornelius Nursery is a 19-store garden center chain serving the Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston markets. The company strives to make gardening fun, easy and successful for customers by offering expert advice from Texas Certified Nursery Professionals; store environments that are educational and easy to shop; weekly gardening clinics that serve both novice and expert gardeners; displays and instructions to aid gardeners with design and color development in their yards; and a product selection of the best plant varieties available.
