West Palm Beach, FL, October 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Wantman Group, Inc. Selected by Palm Beach County
Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI) is pleased to announce their selection by Palm Beach County to provide professional engineering services for the Jog Road Extension from SR 710 to Northlake Boulevard. Gary Williams, PE will serve as the WGI Project Manager for this new alignment project. The extension of Jog Road will border a large environmental conservation area and it is an important component of Palm Beach County’s work program.
Part of what makes this project unique is the joint participation agreement between the County and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE). The County will utilize funds from FTE for portions of the entrance/exit ramp to and from Florida’s Turnpike that will be reconstructed as part of these improvements. “Besides understanding the concerns associated with the extension of Jog Road, we also know that the proposed roadway must consider the area’s motorists and residents,” said Gary Williams, Sr. Vice President of WGI. “Once complete, the Jog Road Extension will benefit the area by easing congestion on Northlake Boulevard and SR 710, improve emergency response times and enhance access to Florida’s Turnpike.”
Design and permitting are expected to take 18 months to complete.
As a multi-disciplinary consulting firm, Wantman Group has offices throughout Florida and is comprised of eight separate divisions devoted to the following disciplines: Civil Engineering, Municipal, Transportation, Surveying, Subsurface Utility Engineering, Construction, Environmental and Planning services. WGI has been recognized for four consecutive years on The Zweig White Hot Firm List. The list contains 200 of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firms in the country. Southeast Construction Magazine also recognized the firm on the 2007 Top Design Firm list. The ranking included the region’s top 121 architectural and engineering firms from the magazine’s territory of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The South Florida Business Journal recently ranked WGI number 18 on the top 25 Largest Engineering Firms in South Florida. For more information, please go to www.WantmanGroup.com
