Local School Kids Benefit from Old Republic Home Protection’s Back-to-School Drive

San Ramon, CA, October 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The 2009 school year has begun, and employees at the Old Republic Home Protection, Inc. (ORHP) corporate headquarters are helping local students get off to a good start with a back-to-school supply drive benefiting the Bay Area Rescue Mission in Richmond, CA. Five large boxes of school supplies and $250 in cash have been donated to the Rescue Mission’s annual back-to-school party, where much-needed supplies are distributed to inner-city children to help ensure that they have a successful school year.

“Every year since 2000, the beginning of the school year for children in Richmond has been brightened by the Bay Area Rescue Mission’s Back to School Party,” shared Rescue Mission CEO, John Anderson. “And this year, we are again looking forward to another great event, thanks to our many community partners and dedicated volunteers who unselfishly give of their time and resources.”

The back-to-school supply drive was organized by Old Republic Home Protection’s STARS Team, a grass-roots, employee-led team created to promote a workplace that is safe, productive, and fun. Their goal is to make ORHP the PREMIER place to work, which includes providing opportunities such as this for employees to give back to the community.
