Lennar Brings ENERGY STAR Appliances to Emmens Preserve
ENERGY STAR is a program backed by the U.S. Environmental Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.
Myrtle Beach, SC, October 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Coastal Carolina Division of Lennar is now offering ENERGY STAR appliances at their new home community, Emmens Preserve in Myrtle Beach.
ENERGY STAR, a program backed by the U.S. Environmental Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy was implemented to help consumers save money and to protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
“It is more important then ever to be cognizant of our effect on the environment,” said Michael Ray, Director of Purchasing for Lennar’s Coastal Carolina Division. “We at Lennar are proud to be doing our part to help by offering homebuyers appliances that are energy efficient. It’s a win, win because homebuyers who use these appliances, use less energy and thus receive the benefit of saving thousands of dollars over time,” Ray said.
The ENERGY STAR appliances featured in Lennar’s homes at Emmens Preserve include a refrigerator, dishwasher, heat pump, furnace, washer, and tankless water heater.
“Our natural resources are depleting but we all still have the opportunity to change our environment for the better,” Ray said. “Using ENERGY STAR qualified appliances is a great place to start because they can save energy, save money, and help reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and air pollutants.”
Emmens Preserve features 16 home designs with three product types that range from 1,480 to 2,797 square feet and are priced from $209,990. The development will feature a host of amenities including a pooch park, walking trails, lake, park with summer kitchen, putting green and amphitheater as well as a future Residents Club with pool and clubhouse.
The community is located in the heart of Myrtle Beach within walking distance to Market Common and the Grand Strand.
