ITWomen Role Model Speakers Help PACE Center Students Build Career Skills

Miami, FL, October 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A one-day Microsoft Word training session for 13 students from the PACE Center of Girls Broward was so successful that ITWomen Role Model Speakers and New Horizons of South Florida are planning another training day in January, 2010.

ITWomen Role Models Program has partnered with PACE Center for Girls for more than three years to help girls realize the great career opportunities in Technology and Engineering. The need for training in Microsoft Word emerged from a prior session on Resume Writing. Bill Guzman of New Horizons led the MSWord training.

Tony Suffoletto, New Horizon’s Vice President of Sales, South Florida, was enthusiastic. “It was a fantastic event, the girls really gained some valuable knowledge. We love doing events like these where it impacts a person’s life. I can only thank ITWomen for finding a worthwhile cause. We look forward to the next training class in January.”

“This type of collaboration is so important to our Role Models Program and to the girls we serve. We so appreciate New Horizons of South Florida’s commitment to this program”, said Sherry Giordano, Executive Director, ITWomen.

The January session will focus on additional skills essential for career success.
