Boca Raton, FL, October 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- B2BGlobal with Centre for the Arts in Boca Raton is proud to welcome former Vice President Al Gore to South Florida at Mizner Amphitheater on Saturday, November 14, 2009. Mr. Gore, being introduced by Boca native and ECOfashion pioneer Marci Zaroff, will speak on the climate crisis and the solutions to deal with it. The event is expected to have an attendance of over 3000 people.

Al Gore has championed environmental initiatives and legislation for decades. In 2007, the former Presidential candidate received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Norway, for his breakthrough documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.” Mr. Gore is recognized worldwide as one of the planet’s most influential voices on climate change. His new book, Our Choice, focusing on outlining the achievable solutions to deal with the climate crisis, is due to release in November 2009, just prior to Al’s appearance in Florida.

Marci Zaroff is a green entrepreneur, visionary and organic fiber expert. She grew up in Boca Raton, FL, attended Saint Andrew’s High School and later pursued her degree at UC Berkeley’s Haas Business School, before moving to New York. Here, Zaroff helped to write the USA organic fiber standards and spearheaded first time green apparel & home textile initiatives into major retailers nationwide with her eco-chic lifestyle brand, Under the Canopy. She has now returned to her home city of Boca Raton where she has founded a new sustainable lifestyle brand called “FASE”, and is actively building a local green community via “South Florida Green Drinks”, with a membership of over 1000 local residents & business owners.

Having spent 20 years in California & New York City, “I used to joke that I would come home to Florida to visit family, but that I would get my green “fix” everywhere BUT Florida,” Zaroff amused. “To have Al Gore speaking here in Boca Raton is a message that the time has come to catalyze Floridians and get them engaged in climate change and green issues. Lloyd State Park in Dania Beach on November 14-15 with over 100 vendors and 10,000 expected attendees.
