Federal Appraisal Names New Hydroelectric Energy Valuation Coordinator

Whitehouse Station, NJ, October 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Federal Appraisal and Consulting LLC, a national business and real estate appraisal and advisory services firm specializing in power and utilities, announced today the promotion of Chris Olmsted to the newly created position of Hydroelectric Energy Valuation Coordinator. As Hydroelectric Energy Valuation Coordinator, Mr. Olmsted will serve as the company’s lead contact with the hydroelectric energy development, financing and management community. Now, the renewable energy community will have easy access to world class valuation expertise through a single source, anywhere in the country. This newly created position reflects Federal Appraisal’s ongoing commitment to leadership in the field of renewable energy valuation. Mr. Olmsted holds a MA from Appalachian State University and has expertise in the valuation of utility-scale hydroelectric power. Mr. Olmsted stated: “Now, whether the assets involved include business intangibles, real property or personal property, and whether the issues are feasibility, due diligence, value, taxation, investor reporting, or litigation, the entire sustainable, renewable and green energy community, including property owners, developers, installers, manufacturers, lenders, accountants, attorneys and governments will know where to go for help.”

Managing Partner, Mark Pomykacz, stated: “The valuation of energy facilities is nothing new to us. Since 2001 Federal Appraisal has appraised hundreds of power plants, including renewable energy and biofuel plants. The creation of our Hydroelectric Energy Division improves our contact and communication with the green energy community. There are very few valuation firms that have appraised power facilities, and there are even fewer firms appraising the developing technologies in the renewable energy space. Federal Appraisal has such experience and expertise. Our unique qualifications demonstrate that we have a significant presence in the market for conventional and renewable energy valuation and we are very proud to be among the leaders in this field.”
