Brides and New Wedding Boutique Give Back to Breast Cancer, Through October & Beyond

Irvine, CA, October 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- In a bold effort to help the 1 in 8 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and the 1 in 100 men, this year, new online wedding boutique Orange & Blossom teams with couples to raise money toward a cure. “Over the past decade, brides and grooms have shown an amazing and increasing generosity in many aspects of their wedding planning, from charity gifts in lieu of favors to donating leftover food to homeless shelters,” says founder Lisa Marie Rovito, who spent years assembling fabulous wedding finds for the pages of Bridal Guide magazine and Palm Springs Life Weddings magazines before curating her new, highly edited shop. “We were inspired to join them in standing behind something important, something bigger than ourselves, just as these brides and grooms have done.”

Rovito also honored Breast Cancer Awareness Month by becoming one of the newest members of Pink Initiative, a collaborative effort of nearly 100 wedding industry professionals and private donors dedicated to funding awareness, outreach, education and research for breast cancer. Year round, Orange & Blossom donates 10% of the proceeds on their pink pearl and garnet bridesmaid jewelry designs to breast cancer research efforts and is building relationships with vendors to do even more.
