Plastic Packaging Leads the Upcoming Trend of Modern Packaging
Sino-Pack 2010 & China Drinktec 2010-The Best Sourcing Platform for Packaging Machinery & Products (17 Years of Brilliant Track Record). Paper, plastics, glass and metal packaging currently occupy the four main streams of modern packaging, yet, it is anticipated that plastic packaging will lead the upcoming trend of packaging industry.
Guangzhou, China, October 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Plastic Packaging Products Will be Widely Used in the Upcoming Packaging Industry
Plastic products are highly consumed in packaging and building industries while the consumption in plastic packaging products is dominating, which accounts for around 30% of total packaging products and exceeds the total consumption in plastic building materials by around 10%. Currently, plastic films, plastic containers, woven bags, plastic foam and among others are the major modes of plastic packaging materials. The total consumption of plastic packaging materials ranks second to paper packaging products in the packaging industry, yet far exceeds the consumption of traditional packaging materials such as glass, metal and wood. What is more, the consumption of plastic packaging materials enjoys the highest growth as compared to other packaging materials.
Although there is strong global environmental concern in using plastic packaging materials, the latest statistics reveals that the usage of plastic packaging in the industry is enjoying the fastest growth and greatest demand. Plastic packaging nowadays is required not only to meet the growing expectation in quality and cost-efficiency, but also to save energy and materials, at the same time should be easy to recycle and decompose. Therefore, the development of plastic packaging materials is now evolving towards the direction of high performance and multi functional, environmental friendly with the adoption of new raw materials, technologies, facilities and applications.
